The Parodies Archive!

(A brief History)

In 1994, after coming from a world of stand-up comedy, and a life of sound study, Mike entered the Radio business. He started listening to radio parody services. "What I heard from well established parody services was so disappointing, I couldn't believe that these were the 'Big Guys' of parodies".

So...Mike set out to create some of the most intricate and detailed parody productions the industry had ever heard.  He called it "Parody Central". This was the height of the O.J. Simpson court case.  His imitations of Judge Ito, Marsha Clark, Johnny Cochrane and more, were an instant success!  That same year, Harry Shearer of "The Simpsons" TV series had released a CD of his own voices and skits from O.J. courtroom scenarios, showcased on The Tonight Show.  Harry's work paled in comparison to what Mike had accomplished.

Although short lived, Parody Central became a most sought after parody service!  Mike's ability to combine premium multi-character voice acting with original Foley/sound design and musical sound tracking was something that no other parody service had offered in the history of modern radio.  In 1994, CD duplication was expensive, so reel to reel tape mailings were the common thing.  Since Mike was a one man show (writer, sound designer, producer & multi-voice actor), this type of creation was very tedious and without assistance. It was a hard-fought effort to keep in production.

The Parody service was discontinued, February 1996. . . It is no longer available.
But Mike does still, occasionally release new work.

The following are a few most recent parodies, and those created in 1998-99 and 2002 while Mike was the parody producer for the Ron Diaz show. Ron was formerly from the Ron & Ron show with partner Ron Bennington, now doing a radio show from New York.

All voices and production by Mike Kaminski.

Lunch with Bill Clinton and Obama

Mike is the only talent in the nation to perform such accurate imitations. And now Obama and McCain are new additions.
Obama and Bill Clinton had a lunch meeting.  Newsmakers everywhere commented about being the fly on the wall !

Here's  a great parody of what might have occurred.
The bitter Hillary entering near the end is just classic.

Obama's Great Appointment

As Obama starts his radio address, Hillary pops in to campaign for her appointment as Secretary of State.
What follows is some "Green Acres" type chaos when Bill Clinton and G.W. Bush appear, disrupting Obama's address.  Barack is less than amused!

This is pure Kaminski illusion at it's best!
Hollywood studios would scramble to find multiple talents to create what Mike accomplishes, single-handedly.

George W. trashes Iran's leader at UN

Though, clearly a parody, this is what we all wanted Bush to say to Iran's Ahmadinejad in his UN speech !

Mike calls these parody propaganda.
Show hosts can play these to listeners. Some will actually think it's a real out-take from the speech...but it's just plain fun to hear Bush say something so bold like this.

Clinton and the Waco Papers

Most of you remember this debauchery. In this bit, Clinton finds the papers in his own desk...then relocates them.

The Clintons' Private Dinner

Have you ever imagined what the Clintons are like behind the scenes? Well, Mike obviously has, and his reproduction of it is hilarious!
His imitation of Hillery is a tragic comedy in itself. But this classic Dinner party has much to offer!
Bill, Hillary, and the Rolling Stones!
It can't get much better..or worse, except for the fact that Hillary insists, that Bill keeps his mouth shut!!

George S. Patton in Kosovo?

Ground forces in Kosovo? Oh yeah!...Especially if they're led by the great George S. Patton! Mike enjoys the challenge of creating impossible scenarios. In this bit, Patton and his men are menaced by a Serb sniper.  Awesome sound designing. Turn up your speakers for this one.

Medical Blunders

Frequently in the News. Doctors amputating the wrong foot, and other mishaps that are simply unbelievable. This bit is tragically funny with some very clever humor. There's a lot going on so pay close attention.

The Tony Martin case

The Famous Johnny Cochrane and Judge Ito are brought back for this parody about another celebrity who gets off, scott-free, while his unknown partner gets life!  Mike puts the sarcasm right where it belongs.. .lol, how true !

Bill Shatner vs. Columbo - Pt 1

What can I say .. .this is a classic already. In the 1970's TV show, "Columbo", staring Peter Falk,  Shatner actually made several guest appearances as the cunning murderer.  Well.. .William Shatner's wife's demise presented Mike the perfect opportunity, indeed.. .THIS is a real hoot!

Bill Shatner vs. Columbo - Pt 2

The first parody was such a hit and Columbo had some additional questions. So Mike made this sequel to further incriminate poor Shatner.

Viagra in Japanese Video store

Viagra is illegal in Japan. Recently, a Video store owner was searched top to bottom because of an anonymous tip. Mike envisioned a cheesy, Japanese Karate film from the 70's.  Imitating cheap, dub voices and all!

Below, are a few original archives from the 1994-96 Parody Central productions.  These parodies were produced in real-time tape, multi-track audio.
All voices and production by Mike Kaminski.

Santa Clause - 1995

Sure, Santa is a busy guy.  But this bit pokes some fun at what Santa must endure to get through each and every year!! This is a good example of how he works VO, production, sound design and music sound-tracking.

The Club - Auto Security

A Clint Eastwood type VO is the hero in this parody about how effective the "club" can be effective...even if it's not installed.  The custom sound Foley is great!

White Angel

Oh, there's always an opportunity to cry racism about something. In this Christmas piece, someone starts an issue out the fact that the angel atop the tree is White.

Marcia Clark marries Chris Darden

It was such big news at the time!  Marsha Clark was getting married to Chris Darden.  This parody is produced in a sitcom format. Laugh tracks and all.  The style of humor is a lot of fun!

Gas Pump pre-pay

Gas pump pre-pay was becoming a big thing due to drive-offs. This parody pokes fun at the exact description of "Pre-Pay after dark"! Note the similarity in voice and inflection to George Costanza of the Seinfeld series that was not even in production at this time.

Holiday Barbie Shopping wars!

1995. The situation was absurd! But Barbie was the cause! People everywhere were scrambling high and low to get this pop toy, Holiday Barbie.  No matter what the price!

Automatic Call-Return Scramble

In the days before caller ID, *69 was all we had. This spoof service is designed to have more protection for the enemy than for the innocent. Today, such innovations are quite possible.

James Blonde!

The Famous James Bond turns James Blonde in this gay spoof of everyone's favorite secret agent...turned 'secretive'.  This is one of the first uses of Mike's original "Gay Charles" voice.

Martha Stewart

The requests for this voice came from world-news about her investment scam. Yeah, I know, you hardly remember it, now.  lol.  Celebrities expect this of you!  But Mike's imitation is great!

Many other character and imitation voices are available that are not displayed here. You can also request something new that may be topical. Mike is the single most talent to offer voices of importance whenever he can.

There's a lot more...stand by!
